Our Story
In 1998, Colleen Connolly and Glenn Scherer, along with two other engineers, created Malick & Scherer and set off on a strategic mission to raise the bar currently being offered from engineering services. Keeping steadfast to this objective, M&S evolved into a dominant player in the engineering worlds of both ‘transportation’ and ‘telecommunications’. In 2016, the two divisions amicably split into separate companies and the 'telecommunications' group became known as Scherer Design Group (SDG).
SDG continues to thrive as an independent firm supporting the build-out of the dominating and ever-changing telecommunication industry. SDG has since partnered with utility companies to grow their public serving facilities, and also jumped on board with the Electric Vehicle Charging innovators to support the build-out of this expanding infrastructure. Spearheaded by our EV Charging & Real Estate department, we are applying our foresight in the EV charging space by supporting both suppliers and manufacturers alike.
Today, SDG is certified as a Woman Owned Business Enterprise by the State of New Jersey, New York State, and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
SDG has diligently worked to be a top engineering and consulting firm offering full-service site acquisitions, design solutions and construction management to the telecommunication, EV charging and utility industries. As a company, we are committed to grow, progress, and adapt alongside the boundless technological world we live in.
